A History in Hot
Stamping :
Founded in 1978 by Mr. Ian Birch,
Malahide
began as a custom
engineering firm.
Born in London, England, Mr. Birch spent his youth apprenticing
in mechanical design. Subsequent employment with several giants
of the industry further laid the basis of his expertise in hot
stamp machinery design. 40+ years later, Ian's designs
form the core technology used in all of
Malahide's
products.
Malahide is based 150 miles Southwest of Toronto, Canada in the
picturesque town of Stratford, Ontario.
Paul Birch acts as Sales Manager for
Malahide, and is the
principal contact for our high-end, executive clientele. Combining a Masters
of Business Administration,
19 years in sales, and a lifetime spent around the hot
stamping industry, Paul offers his clients a broad range of
practical and theoretical tools.

Malahide trades in nothing but industrial-grade hot stamping
presses.
Manufacturers of the ' Malahide ' brand, this narrow focus has
allowed us to advance and refine our line of performance
equipment. Malahide serves a diverse range of
applications, and specializes in :
Ribbon
& Narrow-Web Textiles
Paper
& Plastic

30+
years later,

Quality machines,
begin with
quality parts.
Part quality is critical to our success,
thus
Malahide produces most all of
our parts in-house.
The production process begins with drawings produced with Computer
Automated Design software. Parts are modeled and refined
in the virtual world, and then virtual parts
get assembled into virtual machines. Enabling us to simulate
and test-run mechanisms prior to building the first part, this
technology allows us to rapidly move new products and
modifications from design to production. |
 |
The
CAD drawings move-on to production
in our newly fitted machine shop, which has doubled in size
since 2006. Equipped with a streamlined CAD to CAM
manufacturing system, we're now able to make more parts, more
precisely than ever before.
Produced
in small batches, a variety of recently-added finishing process
complete the manufacturing task. Feeding our robust
inventory of machine parts,
Malahide's
goal is to keep every part for every machine in-stock, and ready
for service.

 |
Quality parts, meet
quality construction.
Machines come to life in our assembly area.
Methodically constructed with care, mechanisms are assembled, tested, and
re-tested to ensure performance.
Our niche-market focus often requires that a new
machine be tailored to the
client's specific purpose. Minor modifications are common, and it's not
unusual for us to tweak our base designs to better serve a client's application.
Refined over decades, Malahide's
manufacturing system allows us to build equipment with the advantages of mass production,
but do so in small volumes without
sacrificing individualized craftsmanship. |

Quality people to
back you up.
Behind the technology, Malahide
invests as much in our people as we have in the technology they
use. Skilled,
capable and dependable, our carefully selected workforce watches
every step of the production process to guarantee quality.
Involved in your
machine from concept to finished product, our employees take
pride in the equipment they produce, and the reputation of the
brand they've helped to create. |
